Software and Firmware OPTALIGN smart
How to Upgrade OPTALIGN smart - ALI 12.200 computer
- Extract executable file to empty PRUFTECHNIK USB memory stick.
Firmware will be stored in the OPTALIGN folder. - Attach ALI 12.503 USB cable
- Connect PRUFTECHNIK memory stick to the USB cable.
- Switch on OPTALIGN smart. Update will autostart.
- Follow the instructions at the end of the upgrade process.
Please ensure that the device is charged or at least 50% battery capacity.
How to Upgrade OPTALIGN smart EX - ALI 12.200 EX computer
- Extract executable file to empty PRUFTECHNIK USB memory stick. Firmware will be stored in the OPTALIGN folder.
- Attach OPTALIGN smart EX to ALI 12.500 OPTALIGN smart adapter box
- Insert PRUFTECHNIK memory stick into the adapter box
- Switch on OPTALIGN smart EX. Update will autostart.
Please ensure that battery capacity is at least 50% or that the ALI 12.500 adapter box is connected to ALI 12.651 mains adapter/charger.
NOTE: When the OPTALIGN smart EX is running, the USB Stick will NOT be recognised!
Update is only possible if the USB Stick is first connected to the adapter box and OPTALIGN smart EX is then booting up.

You might not need this tool as the
OPTALIGN smart shaft application itself will check and perform an update
if necessary.
However this tool can be used without an OPTALIGN smart computer,
connect one of the listed sensors via an OPTALIGN Plus or ALIGNEO control unit
to your pc and start the optaplup.exe. The update will take approximatly 10 minutes.
With this tool you can update your:
- ALI 12.100 OPTALIGN smart
- ALI 7.100 smartALIGN
- ALI 7.410 pocketALIGN
Attention:
Do not use this to update your OPTALIGN smart EX, OPTALIGN Plus,
OPTALIGN Plus series, MASTERLIGN family
and ALIGNEO sensors!!!
