EDDYCHEK LAB2

PRÜFTECHNIK's first analog eddy current equipment

  • Fully customizable to individual applications
  • Modular and extensible
  • Easy to exchange in line
  • Userfriendly

EDDYCHEK LAB 2 was PRÜFTECHNIK's first analog eddy current testing

equipment that was used for testing semi-finished ferro-magnetic,

austenitic and non-ferrous metals in the production line. This

one-channel tester featured a screen with a cathode-ray tube and could

be operated via switches and buttons.

Technical data:

  • Frequency modules: from 2.5 kHz to 500 kHz
  • Gain: adjustable from 40 to 89 dB in steps of 1 dB
  • Outputs:
    4x 110 V or 22 V/500 VA, solid state outputs via isolated opto-relay;
    4x potential-free opto-coupler outputs (20 mA load);
    1x recorder output, load impedance > 10 kOhm;
    1x end signal suppressing output for connection to proximity switch or light barrier
  • Inputs:
    1x input for external shift pulses from distance encoder;
    1x input for material sensing transducer or light barrier for end suppression;
    1x input for contact from cutter or shear

This product war discontinued in the year 2000. Its successor is EDDYCHEK 5 advanced.
